gap-character-tables software package provides GAP Library of character tables, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gap-character-tables
gap-character-tables is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gap-character-tables package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gap-character-tables *
You will get with gap-character-tables package name, version, architecture and description in a table
